Ed Arnold, Sr. dedicated over 38 years serving the Veteran’s Administration and later Department of Veterans Affairs Liaison, ensuring that America’s veterans received the recognition and support they deserved. A proud United States Marine Corps Lieutenant & combat veteran of the Korean War, his work left a lasting impact on policies affecting veterans nationwide.

In 1960, he moved from Memphis, Tennessee to Washington, D.C., to serve as an Administrative Assistant to Indiana Congressman Ralph Harvey. Later, he played a key role in transitioning the Veterans Administration into the Cabinet-level Department of Veterans Affairs.

Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and a Memphis State University alumna, Mary began her career as a flight attendant before entering public service. A devoted advocate for animal welfare and community engagement, she was a leader in the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and multiple women’s organizations.
