Ed Arnold, Sr. dedicated over 38 years serving the Veteran’s Administration and later Department of Veterans Affairs Liaison, ensuring that America’s veterans received the recognition and support they deserved. A proud United States Marine Corps Lieutenant & combat veteran of the Korean War, his work left a lasting impact on policies affecting veterans nationwide.

In 1960, he moved from Memphis, Tennessee to Washington, D.C., to serve as an Administrative Assistant to Indiana Congressman Ralph Harvey. Later, he played a key role in transitioning the Veterans Administration into the Cabinet-level Department of Veterans Affairs.





His commitment to veteran welfare and advocacy remains a cornerstone of this directory.

Mary Miller Arnold

With her Southern charm, grace, and leadership, Mary Arnold was a beloved figure in Washington, D.C. She served as a Doorkeeper Supervisor in the U.S. Senate for 21 years, fostering bipartisan respect and camaraderie among lawmakers.




Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and a Memphis State University alumna, Mary began her career as a flight attendant before entering public service. A devoted advocate for animal welfare and community engagement, she was a leader in the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and multiple women’s organizations.


Her legacy of warmth and dedication is deeply woven into this directory.
